RICHMOND, Ind. – Lee Bailey Jr., age 92, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at his home.
Born August 7, 1926, in Kingston, Tennessee, to Elmer Lee and Susie Gabbard Bailey Jr., Lee lived in this community most of his life. He retired from Natco, after more than 30 years of service. Lee enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, shopping for houses, and spending time visiting with his family and friends.
Survivors include his sons, Mike (Amanda) Bailey of Richmond and Charles Bailey of Sidney, Ohio; grandchildren, Michael, Lyla, and Amber Bailey; four great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Jenkins of Richmond; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia M. Jones Bailey, who died in December 1996; sons, Steve and Gary Bailey; parents; and sisters, Alice Moore, Udema English, and Edna Corley.
Visitation for Lee Bailey Jr. will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2019, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2019, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Jones officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
