RICHMOND, Ind. – Larry Charles Kegley, age 67, of Richmond, Indiana, died Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Reid Health.

Born April 12, 1952, in Richmond, Indiana, to Ora and Naomi Kegley, Larry lived in Richmond and Morehead, Kentucky, most of his life. He graduated from Richmond High School. Larry served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a carpenter, who spent many years working at Gateway Community Action Agency in Morehead. Larry enjoyed fishing, camping, and watching fishing, football, and basketball, especially the Cleveland Browns and UK Wildcats. He liked traveling, including visiting Glen Miller Park and Cave Run Lake in Morehead. Larry was always quick to share a joke and enjoyed telling stories from his childhood. He loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Russ (Jessica Dance) Wesler and Justin Kegley, both of Richmond and Tamera Garrett of Ashland, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jenny and Chris Hammond, Dakota and Ethan Wesler, and Caroline Cooper; brothers, James (Cindy) Kegley, Larry Kegley Sr., and Steve Kegley; sister-in-law, Judith Kegley; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Kegley; parents; sister, Claren Kegley; brother, Kevin Kegley; and niece, Jennifer Kegley.

There will be no public services for Larry Charles Kegley. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
