Delbert Leroy Tiemann, age 85, of Richmond passed away on Thursday (January 17, 2019) at Forest Park Health Campus surrounded by his family. He was born on March 5, 1933 to Henry and Eva Sleet Tiemann in Richmond, Indiana. Delbert met the love of his life, Dorotha Brothers, and got married in Milton, Indiana on September 9, 1956 and was happily married for 62 years. He was an Army Veteran and served in the Korean War. After serving in the Army he went to work for Belden and retired in 1993 after 37 years of service and was a member of the Belden 25-year club. Delbert’s biggest joy was maintaining his lawn and keeping it spotless. He was also a member of Boston United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Dorotha Brothers Tiemann; children Darren (Veta Michelle) Tiemann, Donald (Tonja) Tiemann and Debra (George) Phillips; brother Robert Tiemann; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren with 1 more on the way; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Clarence Tiemann and 1 nephew
Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday (January 21, 2019) at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Family and friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M on Monday (January 21, 2019) at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Delbert’s name to Boston United Methodist Church (211 West Main St. Boston, Indiana 47324).
