David L. White, age 78, resident of Camby, formerly of Mooreland and New Castle, passed away on December 24, 2019 at St. Franciscan Health in Indianapolis.
He was born February 8, 1941 a son of the late Luther and Verda Gibbs White. He had resided in Henry County most of his life and was a 1959 graduate of Mooreland High School and also a graduate of Indiana Barber’s College.
He was a retired barber as well as retiring from the United States Postal Service after many years of service. He loved family activities, mushroom hunting, attending auctions, gardening, and was also engaged in farming.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM.
Left to cherish his loving memory include his wife, Beverly Jean Bickel White, whom he married on September 3, 1960; three children: Holly L. White and her spouse, Cheri L. Garner of Camby, IN., Lee C. White of Martinsville, IN. and Dereck White and his spouse, Nichole of Selma, IN.; four grandchildren: Abbi, Jason, Hunter and Patricia; several great grandchildren; a brother, Larry White and his spouse, Jean of New Castle, IN.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Jim White.
Family and friends may call from 12pm to 2 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Macer Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Macer Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Rev. David Bales officiating.
Burial will be in South Mound Cemetery.
