RICHMOND, Ind. – Roger A. Grimm, age 82, of Richmond, died Monday, February 26, 2018, at St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana in Indianapolis.
He was a 1953 graduate of Richmond High School and a 1955 graduate of General Motors Institute. Roger served in the U.S. Army Reserve for six years. He was the Owner/President of Grimm Pontiac, Buick, GMC of Winchester, Indiana. Roger worked his way up through the car dealership; employed in nearly every capacity from pumping gas to sales manager. In 1976, he was given the opportunity to own and operate his own dealership in Winchester. In 2000, Roger was honored with Time Magazine’s Quality Dealer Award for outstanding performance as an automobile dealer and a valued citizen of his community.
Survivors include daughters Karen (Charles) Naber, Sharon (Bryan) Boggs, and Carol (Chris) Plopper, all of Zionsville, Indiana; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many, many friends.
Visitation and Masonic service were March 2 at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. with a memorial service March 3 at Central United Methodist Church. Private burial was in Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester, Indiana.
