Richard Allen “Dick” Brown, 70, of Hagerstown, died Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Reid Health.
He was born in Fountain Inn, SC on January 30, 1948 to Paul Everett and Florence (Queen) Brown. He had resided in the Hagerstown area since 1970.
Dick served with the US Army 1968 to 1970. He was a member of Hagerstown Lodge #49, F&AM, Druid Lodge of Richmond, Operating Engineers Local #103 and Economy Lions Club. He was a former member of Nettle Creek School Board. He was a 29 year employee of Fox Contractors Corp.
On October 29, 1976 he married Sandra L. White and she survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Jason Brown (Lindsay) and Justin Brown, both of Hagerstown; six grandchildren, Luke, Layla, Skylar, Sawyer, Parker and Grayson; a sister, Faye Morrison; a brother, Kenneth Brown; his mother-in-law, Eileen White; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Jennifer Bushey and sister-in-law Diane Brown; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six siblings, Frances Oler, Paul Brown, Gary Brown, Donald Brown, Norman Brown and Jack Brown; his father-in-law. Jesse White.
Services were Monday, December 10, at Culberson Funeral Home, Hagerstown. Pastor Matthew Smith officiated. Burial follow in Economy Cemetery.
