CAMBRIDGE CITY- Olive Rhea Risch, 88, passed away Wednesday evening March 14, 2018 at Premier Healthcare in Connersville. A daughter of the late Ray and Eva Pearl (Morris) McElfresh, Olive Rhea was born in Fayette County, Indiana on May 28, 1929. She was a 1947 graduate of Bentonville High School. Olive Rhea was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, the Posey Township Home Extension Club for over 50 years, Farm Bureau and the Golay Senior Center. A homemaker, Olive Rhea also worked as a real estate broker and seamstress. Olive Rhea married the late Robert J. Risch at St. Elizabeth Church on January 1, 1949. She worked the farm with her husband and raised her family near Bentonville in northern Fayette County before moving to Cambridge City in 1978. In her leisure, Olive Rhea enjoyed crocheting

Survivors include her children, Amelia (Bill) Golden of Cambridge City, Stephanie (Jack) Riggs of Milton, Bradley B. Risch of Cambridge City, Lyla (David) Turner of Danville, Indiana, Dorinda (Melvin) Nick of Connersville; 9 grandchildren, Angela (Ryan) Cooper, Scott Snyder, Britney, Collin & Kendall Riggs, Michelle & Melanie Turner, Matt (Kati) Huffman, Jon (Tiffany) Lemen; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchild; 2 step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; 3 step great great grandchildren; 1 brother, Jim (Donna) McElfresh of Bentonville; 1 step sister Betty (Paul) McDivitt of Glenwood.

Olive Rhea was preceded in death by her husband on September 16, 2015; 1 great grandson, Wade Shank and her half sister, Lenora Newkirk.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday March 19, 2018 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church. Fr. John Hall will officiate. Burial will follow at Orange North Cemetery in Fayette County.
