Kathryn J. Mahuron, 87, a lifelong Connersville resident passed away Monday afternoon, June 18, 2018.
One of five children of Evan and Della Cline Best, Kathryn was born in Connersville on August 15, 1930, and graduated from Connersville High School.
On August 6, 1950, Kathryn married Morrison P. Mahuron, Sr. Mr. Mahuron preceded her in death.
For many years, Kathryn was employed as a secretary at Design and Manufacturing in Connersville.
Along with her family, Kathryn was a faithful and dedicated member of Park Place Church of God where she served as a youth leader and Sunday school teacher. Kathryn also helped lead the Triple L Senior Group and the Women’s Missionary Society at Park Place Church of God. In her leisure time, she enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family.
Survivors include three sons, Morrison Mahuron, Jr. and his wife Beth of Cambridge City, Indiana, James Mahuron and his wife Susi of Lapwai, Idaho and Donald Mahuron and his wife Debbie of Arvada, Colorado; eight grandchildren, Amber Macedonia and her husband Joe of Arvada, Colorado, Sara Mahuron and her companion Gary of Lewiston, Idaho, Peter Mahuron of Lapwai, Idaho, Angela Thomas of Arvada, Colorado, Katie Mahuron of Topeka, Kansas, Anna Kirkwood and her husband Keola of Damascus, Oregon, Krista Mahuron of Westminster, Colorado and Jason Mahuron of Washington, D.C.; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, George Best and his wife Nancy of Connersville; a sister, Marilyn Sater of Bloomington, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Doris Fay Mahuron of Connersville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her husband of 63 years, Morrison Mahuron, Sr., Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Benjamin Mahuron; a brother, Bill Best; and a sister, Shirley Ann Best.
Funeral service was conducted Monday, June 25, at Park Place Church of God, 3025 Waterloo Road, Connersville, Indiana. Pastor Jeremy Williams officiated. Burial followed in Dale Cemetery. Friends called Sunday, June 24, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home and at the church Monday before the funeral.
