Kathleen “Kate” McMinn, age 94, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Arbor Trace Exceptional Senior Living.
Born March 20, 1924, in Franklin, Kentucky, to Clarence and Alma Norris Turner, Kate was a 1942 graduate of Osgood High School in Ripley County, Indiana. She lived in Wayne County for over 71 years, having lived in Richmond for 40 years. Kate worked in the Wayne County Treasurer’s Office with her husband, Mac. She was a member of Centerville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Sue (Hal) Brown of Mulberry, Indiana, Krista (Jeff) Mendenhall of Hagerstown, Indiana, and Lorrie Packard of Indianapolis, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Ty, Heather, Anissa, Lacey, Darren, Matt, Kameron, and Keenan; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Marilles Terry of Louisville, Kentucky; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Olen “Mac” McMinn, who died May 29, 2015; mother, Alma Norris Berry; father, Clarence Turner; son-in-law, Michael Packard; and brother, Donnie Berry.
Visitation for Kathleen “Kate” McMinn will be from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 6, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 6, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Black officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
