Franklin Dynes Weyl, 85, succumbed to heart disease at Community North Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana surrounded by his family on February 7, 2018.
Born October 11, 1932 in Centerville, IN he lived most of his life in Muncie, IN. He graduated from Connersville High School (1950), attended Purdue University earning a Bachelors in Pharmacy (1954) and later earned his Doctorate in Pharmacy, also at Purdue. He also received a Masters in Business in 1971 at Ball State University, a Masters in Public Policy and a Masters in Biblical Studies, both at Regent University in 1989. He worked as a pharmacist, managing the pharmacy at Ball Hospital for most of his career, but also working in retail pharmacies both at the beginning and the end of his career, not retiring until he was 78. Frank was a passionate man, putting 150% of his energy to anything he believed in, especially his faith and politics. He enjoyed reading and watching old Westerns.
Frank is survived by his daughter Jennifer Cecil (Steve), sons David Weyl (Nancy), and Scott Weyl, sisters Beverly Stegner, Mary Owens, brother Larry (Joyce) Weyl, and grandchildren, Emily, Alyssa, Morgan, and Cassidy, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Eliza, whom he missed dearly, and both parents.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral Service to follow at noon on Saturday, February 17th at Union Chapel, 4622 N. Broadway, Muncie, IN 47303, with Brother Eldon Morehouse Officiating. Burial will follow at Jones Cemetery, Muncie, IN.
