Crystal Gayle Smith, age 39, went home to be with the Lord on November 17, 2018. She was born December 8, 1978, to Johnny Ray Smith and Gale Smith in Richmond, Indiana.

She was a graduate of Richmond High School and Ivy Tech; and also a bartender at a Richmond bar. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching Supernatural. Crystal was a fun loving, smart, strong woman, with a strong pleasant personality with a heart bigger than this world. She loved spending time with her family and friends and especially playing with her only grandchild.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her three daughters: Cheyenne Smith, Toshan Dunbar and Madison Lear (Chase Maiden) all of Richmond; granddaughter whom she held very close to her heart: Amorae Jewel Smith; parents: Johnny Ray Smith and Gale Smith; one sister: Sherry (Travis) Holland, who was her lifelong confidante and best friend; nephews: Jonathan, Jackson and Parker Holland; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including special friends: Bethany Walker and Becca Murphy.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Howard and Eva Farley; paternal grandparents: John and Opal Smith; and aunt: Teresa Smith.

The family would like to give special thanks to Ambassador Nursing Home, special friends Cherokee Jennings and Jen Mullins; and Galilean Baptist Church.

The family will host a Celebration of Crystal’s Life at Galilean Baptist Church, Centerville, Indiana, on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, from 12 Noon until 4:00 PM.
