HAGERSTOWN, Ind. – Shirley Ann Willison Weber, 81, of Hagerstown, passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, following an extended illness.
She was born in Warnock, OH on January 26, 1936 to Thomas and Inez (McGilton) Willison. She lived in California and Ohio before moving to the Hagerstown area 53 years ago.
Shirley graduated from Bellaire High School. Following graduation, she joined the Air Force. It was there that she met and married Richard Weber and he survives, following 62 years of marriage.
She was a retired employee of Perfect Circle / Dana Corp and also cooked in several area restaurants. She was a member of American Legion Post 333 and the auxiliary. She was a breast cancer survivor and was well known for her cooking.
In addition to her husband, survivors include 4 children, Joyce Walcott (Buddy Colvin), Tara Bavender (Fred), Lori Cross (Kyle) and Mike Weber, all of Hagerstown; 13 grandchildren, Rich, Triva, Jessica, Traci, Caden, Amber, Clay, Katie, Ethan, Shaye, Garrett, Mitch and Jaylynn; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Dorothy Dewar of New Port Richey, FL and Esther DelliBovi of Lancaster, CA.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Weber, a brother, Arthur Willison and a sister, Inez Hendershot.
Per Shirley’s request, there will be no public services.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the many car givers who helped care for her throughout her illness.
