Roger G. Compton, 73, of Losantville, died at his home on Monday, October 2, 2017.
He was born in Nancy, KY on July 31, 1944 to Huey and Jessie (Dunsmore) Compton and lived most of his life in the Losantville area.
Roger was a member of Losantville United Methodist Church, a retired employee of General Motors and, for many years, served as president of the Delaware County Coon Hunters Club.
Survivors include his wife, Judy (Campbell) Compton; three children, Cindy Blansett (Mitch), Angie Halstead (Mike) and Eric Compton (Lisa); 12 grandchildren, Amanda, Brittany, Brooke, Aaron, Blake, Deric, Cody, Lynsie, Miranda, Morgan, Melody and Megan; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Hoy Compton; 5 sisters, Joan Bland, Lucille Morris, Kay Lyons, Brenda Burton and Carolyn Blan; a special aunt, Barbara Burton and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, October 6, at Losantville United Methodist Church. Rev. Forrest Bowers will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 P.M. on Thursday at Culberson Funeral Home, Hagerstown, and at the church after 12:30 P.M. on Friday.
