CAMBRIDGE CITY- Rhonda Diane Chasteen, 54, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday December 27, 2016. A daughter of Charles and Barbara (Gadd) Noe, Rhonda was born in New Castle, Indiana on June 1, 1962. A lifelong resident of the Western Wayne community, Rhonda graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1980. Rhonda had a deep love for children, especially for her own children and grandchildren. She taught Sunday School and Children’s Church for many years. Rhonda had an infectious smile and laugh, you couldn’t resist smiling and laughing with her. She loved music and to sing, her favorite song was “The Anchor Holds”. She also loved to quilt and craft, which she shared with her mother and passed on to her children. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and father in-law.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Ben Chasteen; her parents, of Montana; mother in-law, Mary Ann Chasteen; brothers, Ronald (Pam), Robert and Christopher Noe; half-sister, Anita Winestead; children, Michael (Michelle), Joshua and Sarah Chasteen; daughter in-laws, Monique Chasteen and Angela Rose; grandchildren, Rebekah, Michael Jr, Angel, Ben and Elizabeth Chasteen.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday January 2, 2017 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Pastor Chris Monaghan will officiate. Burial will follow at the West Side Cemetery in Milton. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday January 1st at the funeral home.
