CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Joan Pierson, age 84, of Centerville, Indiana, died Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Reid Health.
Born December 19, 1932, in Richmond, Indiana, to Paul and Clara Lipscomb Bane, Joan was a life-long resident of this area. She retired from the Wayne Corporation. Joan enjoyed playing cards. She loved spending time with her family and several special friends.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie (Mike) Hoover and Nicki (Bill) Dickenson, both of Richmond; sons, Rick (Kathie) Dunn, Robert Dunn, and Paul (Darla) Dunn, all of Richmond; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; mother-in law, June Pierson; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Pierson, who died November 6, 2016; first husband, Marshall Dunn, who died February 17, 1973; parents; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Visitation for Joan Pierson will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Paul Bane officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
