Centerville, IN – Eugene Jackson passed away at his residence on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. He was born on May 25, 1940 to Faulkner and Flora Jackson in Clay County, Kentucky.
Eugene and his wife, Doris, moved to Wayne County in 1961. He was employed for 40 years at Wayne Works School Bus Factory and 7 years at Carpenter Bus Factory. He attended Galilean Baptist Church and Living Faith Church of God. He enjoyed going to church, coon hunting, fishing, and going to flea markets. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his granddaughter, Jessica Soper.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife: Doris Jean Jackson; two sons: Michael Jackson and Danny (Peggy) Jackson; daughter: Barbara Jackson; two grandchildren: Jessica Soper and Casey Sawmiller; four sisters: Daisy Jackson, Helen Mills, Ruby Ehern and Viola Neeley; and a special friend: Wade Jones.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a son: Darrell Jackson; five brothers: Vernon, Denver, Lee, Daniel and Charles Jackson; and one sister: Della Stewart.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM, at Galilean Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Cross and Pastor Alan Henderson officiating.
