RICHMOND, Ind. – Clarence “Cecil” Weatherly Jr., age 84, of Richmond, Indiana, died peacefully Saturday, November 4, 2017, at his home.
Born February 17, 1933, in Scottsdale, Virginia, to Clarence Cecil and Orpha Neveda Stearns Weatherly Sr., Cecil served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He retired in 1995 from Dana Corporation/Perfect Circle Division after 29 years of service. Cecil enjoyed fishing and watching old westerns. He was a die-hard Cincinnati Reds fan.
Survivors include his children, Linda Weatherly of Richmond, Dawn (Charlie-best bud and son-in-law to Cecil) Chesnut of Centerville, Indiana; Becky (Terry) Eversole of Hayden, Kentucky; and Chris (Pam) Weatherly of Richmond; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Horr of Richmond; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Naomi Weatherly McClain; daughter, Terry K. Weatherly; two grandchildren; parents; three sisters, Audrey, Edith, and Thelma; niece; nephews; aunts; and uncles.
Visitation for Clarence “Cecil” Weatherly Jr. will be from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Alvey officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
