Centerville, IN – E. Louise (Lamb) Rusk, 95, of Centerville, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Brookdale Senior Living in Richmond.
Louise was born on June 22, 1921 in Wayne County and had lived most of her life there except for a few years in Henry County, farming with her husband Ralph H. Rusk. They were married October 12, 1940 in Richmond by Rev. F. C. McCormick. She was a 1939 graduate of Lincoln High School in Cambridge City and was a member of Harrison Home Makers Extension Club and IEHA, Jacksonburg Christian Church, and Ladies Aid. She loved the outdoors, her garden, flowers and butterflies. She also loved quilting and sewing baby quilts for Birth Rite for whom she had made over 1000.
Survivors are her children; Donald (Libby) Rusk of Richmond, David (Geneva) Rusk of Centerville and Linda (Gary Kost) Rusk of Indianapolis, IN; half sister Mary Jane Mockobee of Marion, IN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Rusk on October 30, 1999; mother Mary Hauk and step-father Harlan Hauk; also half-brother Harold Hauk.
Friends may gather at Waskom Capitol Chapel in Cambridge City on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 11:00 am until start of services at 1:00 pm. Rev. Stan Eastman will be officiating. Burial will follow in Zion’s Lutheran Cemetery in Pershing.
