An early morning crash on U.S. 27 South in Wayne County has resulted in an area motorcyclist’s death.
At about 4:39 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to a serious personal injury crash at the intersection of U.S. 27 South and Esteb Road, which is located just north of Pottershop Road.
David Ramsey, 46, of Richmond, was driving a 2001 Buick Park Avenue southbound on Esteb Road and had come to a stop at U.S. 27.
Ramsey turned south onto U.S. 27 and was then struck by a motorcycle, according to a news release from Sheriff Randy Retter.
Daniel Bolser, 55, of Liberty, was driving the 1995 Harley-Davidson. Retter said Bolser was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Additional first responders assisting at the scene include Red Line Ambulance Service and Boston Fire Department.
