The rain delay Monday did nothing to dampen the resolve of Team Indiana on Tuesday, Aug. 9, and as usual, it was a complete team effort.
The purple gang defeated Team Kentucky by the final score of 3-1.
Marshal Mastin (KY) and Kaden Hall (IN) hooked up in a pitchers’ duel. Mastin only surrendered one base hit, striking out nine. Hall trumped that by only surrendering one base hit and striking out twelve.
Team Indiana, which hails from Hagerstown, will advance to the Great Lakes Regional Little League Championship game to be played 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11. ESPN2 is expected to broadcast the game.
