Lincoln Middle/High School is inviting all alumni and community members for what officials call “a true homecoming” in September.
Festivities begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, with classes competing against each other in Eagle Mania games on the football field, 205 E. Parkway Drive, Cambridge City.
On Sept. 19, LHS’ tennis and volleyball teams will compete at 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively.
However, most homecoming activities take place Friday, Sept. 20. The parade begins at 4:30 p.m. and passes through downtown Cambridge City on U.S. 40. Afterward, a community and LMHS tailgate gathering is planned on the football field.
Before the 7 p.m. football game, all Lincoln alumni will be recognized by their decade of graduation. Homecoming festivities will take place at halftime.
Leading up to homecoming, Lincoln Golden Eagle Industries’ storefront at the school has reopened to sell clothing that students are printing and marketing.
Some of the “old school” clothing is currently in stock, or orders can be placed and picked up at a later date.
Shirts feature the Cambridge City Wampus Cats, Dublin Irish, Pershing Pirates and Milton Sharpshooters logos. Gray T-shirts are $15; “ringer” shirts with colored bands at the neck and sleeves are $20, and hooded sweatshirts are $35. Shipping can be requested for an additional $10.
The store is open from noon-2:30 p.m. weekdays and accepts checks and cash.
Orders also may be placed online at wwn.to/lgeihcorder.
