The Lincoln football team turned in its best effort of the year Friday, Sept. 11, before losing to host Christel House Academy 40-14.
Lincoln held a 7-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and only trailed 12-7 at halftime, but it could not hold off a second-half surge from Christel House.
Freshman Ryan Riggs ran for a career high of 166 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown. Colton Cupp ran for a career high of 126 yards on 19 carries and a touchdown to give the Eagles an effective ground game, but the team had a net loss of two yards through the air.
Ben Golliher led the Lincoln defense with 13 tackles and an interception. Aiden Carver had 10 tackles.
