The Northeastern Lady Knights basketball team hosted the Lincoln Lady Eagles on Friday, Jan. 30, for the chance to clinch the outright Tri-Eastern Conference championship in its last year in the conference. The Lady Knights had no problem securing the title for the second consecutive season.  

The outcome of the game was never in doubt. The Lady Knights built a 37-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and pushed their advantage to 54-0 by halftime to trigger a running clock in the second half. Fourteen players saw action for Northeastern and 10 scored. Indiana University East commit Ady Kircher poured in 31 points to lead the way. Fiona Breitenbach scored 13 points and Mackenzie Johnson scored 10 points. Reilynn Ferguson scored all six points for Lincoln.
