The Northeastern softball team closed out regular-season play on Friday, May 22, with a win over host Southern Wells. The game was scoreless for the first two innings before the Northeastern offense kicked in.

The Lady Knights scored 12 runs over the next four innings, including six runs in the fourth inning, to cruise to a 12-1 win.

The game was halted after six innings because of the 10-run mercy rule. Addisyn Wright and Isabella Peed both collected three hits for the Lady Knights. One of Peed’s hits was a home run.
