The Hagerstown Tigers, the undefeated regular season Tri-Eastern Conference champions, backed it up by winning the TEC tournament by eight strokes over their nearest competitor on Saturday, May 18, at the Memorial Park Golf Course in New Castle.
In a golf match, five players compete for each team and the four lowest scores are used to calculate the team score. The fifth score is only used to break a tie. The Tigers played so well Saturday that their drop score was an 82.
Brady Moore and Braden Tedder from Centerville shared medalist honors with scores of 73.
Hayden Chalfant from Northeastern, Cooper Engle from Tri High, Gracen Huffman from Tri High and Noah Searcy from Hagerstown were in a four-way tie for third-sixth with a score of 76.
