Where can area residents get a COVID vaccine?
Here are a few of the options in the coming days.
Wayne County 4-H Fairgrounds
Wayne County Health Department is offering free COVID-19 vaccines from 3-9 p.m. daily from Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, at its mobile unit at the fair.
WCHD’s mobile unit will be making appearances in Cambridge City and Fountain City in the near future.
Henry Community Health
Henry Community Health in New Castle will move its COVID-19 vaccine administration to another location starting Tuesday, July 6.
HCH is currently operating a walk-in vaccine clinic on its main campus, 1000 N. 16th St. More information is available at 765-521-0890.
After July 2, it will move vaccination administration to its Immediate Care at New Castle Family & Internal Medicine Northfield Park, 152 Wittenbraker Ave., New Castle.
Patients needing a COVID-19 vaccination after July 6 can walk-in or schedule their vaccination by calling Immediate Care at 765-599-3100.
Reid offering vaccine at urgent cares
Reid Health’s vaccine clinic at Kuhlman Center has shut down while Wayne County 4-H is taking place, but it will reopen Thursday, July 8. Hours at that time will be 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday and Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Friday.
Scheduled and walk-in free vaccinations are still available at other Reid locations. They are at Richmond (1501 Chester Blvd.) and Connersville (1475 E. Indiana 44) Urgent Cares are available from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Sunday.
The Ready Care Clinic at Meijer is open for shots 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
No office fee or copay is charged for vaccination-only visits at any Reid locations.
