One day after being held scoreless in a loss at Richmond,  the Lincoln baseball team bounced back to score a season high of 22 runs, defeating Muncie Burris 22-3 on Friday, May 2, in Muncie.

The Eagles pushed their lead to 22-0 before the Owls scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to avoid a shutout. The game was halted after five innings because of the 10-run mercy rule.

Noah Patterson collected four hits and drove in five runs for Lincoln. Carson Hawk and Dustin Lunsford each had three hits. Oliver Webb, Braxton Dick and Ben Bates combined on the mound. The trio limited the Owls to five hits while striking out 12 batters. Webb got credit for the win.
