When four Disney villains’ teenage children are sent to attend prep school alongside the kids of beloved Disney heroes, they face a difficult decision.
Should they follow in the footsteps of their wicked parents (Maleficent, Evil Queen, Jafar and Cruella De Vil), or should they learn to be good?
Richmond Civic Theatre’s Stage One Youth Theatre presents “Disney’s Descendants: The Musical” for the next two weekends.
Ryan Shaw, RCT’s interim executive director who also leads Stage One, called “Descendants” a “fantastic show.”
He said it’s “filled with classic Disney characters, as well as amazing songs that you just can’t get out of your head.”
Shaw said young audience members are invited to join in the fun and dress up as their favorite Disney characters.
The G-rated musical is to be performed at 7:30 p.m. Fridays (March 13 and 20) and Saturdays (March 14 and 21), and 2 p.m. Sundays (March 15 and 22).
The production includes comedy, adventure and hit songs.
Stage One is celebrating its 25th anniversary. This show is Stage One’s finale of the 2025-2026 season.
Tickets are $13 for adults and $9 for students and seniors 65 and older in advance. They are available at gorct.org, by calling 765-962-1816. Prices are slightly higher at the door.
