Richmond residents can apply for a free window air conditioner through May 24.
More than 40 units will be given to eligible individuals for combating the challenges of extreme heat. Seniors, individuals with disabilities, households with young children (with medical need) and those in heat vulnerable areas will be prioritized.
The distribution is a partnership of Wayne Township Trustee and the City of Richmond’s Beat the Heat Program.
