Centerville Fire/Rescue volunteers and Centerville Police Department officers have responded to hundreds of calls for help in recent weeks.

In July, CF/R conducted 61 runs. Of those, 30 were medical, 25 were fire-related and six fell into its “other” category.

In June, CF/R had 54 calls for service. Thirty-two were medical, 18 were fire-related and four were “other.”

For their part, CPD responded to 322 calls in July, conducted 14 investigations and made 10 arrests.

Two arrests were on preliminary charges of operating while intoxicated, while two more were for driving while suspended-prior.

Single arrests were made on preliminary charges of criminal mischief, intimidation/deadly weapon, possession of paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, reckless driving and operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license.

Additional investigations included one each for child solicitation, harassment and conversion, and another for criminal mischief.

Officers investigated five accidents. They made 88 vehicle stops, issued 18 state tickets and gave 70 warning tickets.

In June, CPD made 30 arrests. Eight each were preliminary charges of criminal trespass, criminal mischief and residential entry.

Two arrests were made on charges of driving while suspended-prior and two were warrant arrests. They also made one arrest each on charges of domestic battery and operating while intoxicated.

Police conducted 38 investigations in June. Criminal mischief had the most (nine), followed by eight each for criminal trespass and residential entry. Theft was next (three), followed by battery and driving while suspended-prior (two each). Single investigations included burglary, domestic battery, hit-and-run, unauthorized entry of a vehicle, intimidation and operating while intoxicated.

Officers made 91 vehicle stops and issued 20 state tickets and 19 warning tickets. They investigated six accidents and responded to a total of 308 calls.
