The Centerville tennis team defeated Lincoln 4-1 in the final match of the Richmond Tennis Sectional Saturday, May 23, on the Centerville courts.
The sectional title is the fifth consecutive for the Lady Bulldogs program, which advanced to the Mount Vernon (Fortville) regional scheduled for the Marauders’ courts on Tuesday, May 26.
Sophia Tinkle from Hagerstown advanced to the Individual state sectional tournament by going undefeated in No. 1 singles play. The Lincoln No. 1 doubles team of Luna Garcia and Alyssa Waddell also advanced in the Individual state tournament by going undefeated in No. 1 doubles play. The Individual sectional will be at Mount Vernon (Fortville) and run concurrently with the team regional.

No. 2 Singles: Myleigh Hartman (C) defeated Hannah Bogue (L) 6-0, 6-1
No. 3 Singles: Madi Fralick (C) defeated Paige Pitcock (L) 6-3 (2-6) 7-5
No. 1 Doubles: Luna Garcia and Alyssa Waddell (L) defeated Hania Liszka and Kami Johnson (C) 6-2, 6-3
No. 2 Doubles: Reece Marshall and Kinley McCord (C) defeated Autumn Magill and Sophia Losekamp 6-0
