Dorothy Jenelle Jarvis died Friday August 26, 2022, at Reid Health. Dorothy was born May 29, 1948, in Berea, Kentucky to James B. Senters and Ruth (Anderson) Senters. Dorothy moved from Kentucky to Indiana at age seven and spent the majority of her life in the Richmond area.
Dorothy worked for several years at Nettle Creek Industries and was active in several local churches. Dorothy enjoyed singing, baking, hummingbirds, Cherry blossom trees, gardening, and spending time with family.
Dorothy leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Perry Jarvis of Arbor Trace Nursing Home of Richmond, and three children: son Mike Kelly of Centerville, son Perry Jarvis of Richmond and daughter Mary Jane (Jarvis) Coy of Richmond. Dorothy also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Gwynneth Jarvis, Gavin Jarvis (both of Richmond), Gabrielle Blake (Longmont, Colorado), Levi Kelly (Brownsville, Indiana), Jamie Kelly (Abington, Indiana), Harley Kelly (Centerville, Indiana), and Kendra Wade (Upland, Indiana). Two great grandchildren: Dominic Blake and Amelia Martin, both of Colorado. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, brother Jim Senters, sister Barbara Warth, aunts, uncles, cousins and one great grandchild Sophia Anne Martin.
Funeral services will be held at Community Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 4:00 PM. Family and friends may visit the funeral home Wednesday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Send online condolences to the family via the guestbook at www.communityfamilyfh.com
