Kenneth D. “Ken” Street, 89, of New Paris, Ohio died August 19, 2022, at Reid Health after an extended illness. He was born February 26, 1933, in Richmond to Perry and Cecil (Street) Smith and lived in the Richmond area all his life.
He retired as a tool and die maker from Alcoa and was an Army veteran. He was a 1952 graduate of Richmond Senior High School. Ken enjoyed collecting antiques, sports, and old things. He really enjoyed being with children.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years Lona, three children Terry (Jim) Woods, Trudy (Chris) Buckley, and Duane (Carolyn) Street, and five grandchildren Brittany (David) Bunch, Darcy (Ben) Milsom, Nick (Tammy) Woods, Christopher Caudill, and Conner Buckley, his great-grandchildren Ally and John Bunch, Cooper and Parker Milsom, and Lyla and Phoebe Woods, his sisters Phyllis Thomas, Beverly (Richard) Lahrman, Debbie (Mark) Bertrand, and Brenda Eadler, his brother David Oakley, nieces and nephews.
Ken is preceded in death by two sons Tony and Bret Street, his parents, two brothers Doug Street and Claude Oakley, and one sister Carol Thomas.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home 222 North 10th Street Richmond with Rev. Gary Reynolds officiating. Ken’s burial will be in Goshen Cemetery with military rites. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 25 at the funeral home.
