Jeffe Emerson Johnson, 65, of Centerville, passed away at home surrounded by his family, Tuesday, August 9, 2022, after a short battle with Leukemia. He was born June 30, 1957, in New Castle, to Emerson and Mary Doris (Kemble) Johnson.

Jeffe grew up in Hagerstown, and was a 1975 graduate of Hagerstown Jr.-Sr. High School. He was a 25-year employee as Fleet Maintenance Manager at FedEx Freight.

He adored spending time with his grandchildren, and attending their sporting events. He spent most of his time in his garage working on cars and listening to music. Jeff and Brenda loved their evening drives together.

Jeffe is survived by his wife, Brenda Johnson; daughter, Carrie (Joe) Johnson-Puentes; son, Kevin (Bailey) Johnson; grandchildren, Amelia Puentes, Brady, Rylie and Cole Johnson; sisters, Jama Ballenger and Jonna (Bill) Miller; and, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jeffe was preceded in death by an infant sister, Janette Christine; brother-in-law Mark Ballenger; and several aunts and uncles.

Jeffe’s family would like to thank the staff at Simon Cancer Center, Indianapolis, along with Premier Hospice.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with services to follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Brick Cemetery.
