Victoria “Viki” Lorene Dooley, age 73, of Richmond, Indiana, passed Sunday, July 31, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family after fighting a long, hard battle with cancer. She was prepared for her next spiritual journey.
Born March 23, 1949, in Richmond, Indiana, to Frank and Marianne Weaver Robinson, Viki was a life-long resident of this area. She was a 1967 graduate of Centerville High School. Viki worked for many years with Dr. Blakey at Westside Animal Clinic, owned and operated Westside dog grooming, then later TRACKS pet boarding and grooming. Viki was a very spiritual person and an amazing artist and sculptor. She loved the rain. Viki will be remembered for her midnight pancakes and peanut butter cookies. She enjoyed caring for all kinds of animals. Viki loved to spend time with her family. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed seeing life through their eyes.
Survivors include her high school sweetheart and husband, Daniel S. Dooley, to whom she was married May 11, 1968; children, Peggy (Douglas) Dils of Oskaloosa, Kansas, and Annie (Adam) Duke and Peter Dooley, all of Richmond; grandchildren, Ethan Miller, Forrest Dils, Irish Dils, Riley Duke, Jack Duke, and Molly Duke; and siblings, Patsy Cox of Florida, Theresa (Ron) Voss of Centerville, Indiana, and Jeff (Holley) Robinson of Trafalgar, Indiana; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Brian Robinson.
According to her wishes there will be a small celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
