Former Connersville resident Beulah P. Holt, 87, of Richmond, died early Sunday morning, June 23, 2019, at Reid Health in Richmond.
Beulah was born in Connersville on January 31, 1932 to Dora and Midda Tanksley Halstead. After graduating from Orange High School in 1950, she married Bernard D. Holt on August 11, 1950 in Connersville. She had been employed for many years with her husband operating Holt Construction.
Beulah was an active member of Park Place Church of God and most recently attended Calvary Baptist Church in Richmond. For many years, she and Bernard wintered in Winter Haven, Florida.
Beulah is survived by her daughters: Cathy Youngs and Rebecca Holt, both of Richmond, Jeanne Rush and her husband, Dan of Gulfport, Florida; her sister: Judy Branstetter and her husband, Dan of Connersville; her grandchildren and their spouses: Kristi McCullough and Jim of Cambridge City, Justin Youngs and Amy of Indianapolis, Jason Rush of Gulfport, Florida; her great-grandchildren: Kaleb McCullough, Lili McCullough, Brady Youngs and Drew Youngs.
Beulah’s parents preceded her in death, as well as her husband of 56 years and two sisters: Florence Whitton and Juanita Trent; a brother: Kenny Halstead; an infant brother; and her grandson: Jeremy Rush.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2019, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Pastor Curt Neis of the Calvary Baptist Church, Richmond, officiating.
