Virginia Ruth Wamsley, age 90, of Centerville, Indiana, died Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Ambassador Healthcare. Born August 5, 1931, in Brookville, Indiana, to Harry and Margaret Carnes Lee, Virginia had lived in this area for most of her life.
She was an LPN and worked at the Pediatric Center and at Earlham Health Service. Virginia enjoyed flowers, playing pinochle, and she was an outstanding cook. She loved to travel with her late husband Don, but her biggest joy was sharing her love of Jesus with others. Virginia attended Fountain City Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer (Howard) Millsaps of Centerville; sons, Michael Wamsley of Centerville and Jeff (Julie) Wamsley of Brownsburg, Indiana; grandchildren, Matthew Millsaps, Emily (Mike) Keesling, Sarah Wamsley, Michael G. Wamsley, and Katherine Wamsley; great-grandchildren, Grace and William Millsaps, and Addelynn and Brody Keesling; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Donald S. Wamsley; parents; and brothers, Edward, Galen, and Marvin. Private family services for Virginia will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are being handled by Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville. Burial will be in Big Cedar Cemetery in Whitcomb, Indiana, at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family via the guest book at www.doanmillsfuneralhome.com.
