Violet (Judy) Louise Evans was born July 28, 1952, to Morris and Hollie Smith. Violet was called home July 2nd, 2022, at home surrounded by family.
Violet graduated from Ivy Tech with a degree in Phlebotomy and made the Dean’s List. She was called Mamaw by many but given the nickname Judy which turned into Judy Booty. Judy was a very special woman that enjoyed crafts, painting, sewing and bossing around her husband Mousie. Judy was a very strong and brave woman who didn’t bite her tongue for anyone.
She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years: Harold Lee Evans; two daughters: Lori Crigler Thompson and Tiffany Isaac McCuin; son: Richard (Mary) Crigler; grandkids: Ryan (Bridget) O’Leary, Eric Crigler, Patrick Dupree, Justin Dupree, Jalen McCuin, Jasmin Deloney, Trenton Crigler, Trevor Crigler; special great granddaughter: Adaya Wilks; 12 great grandchildren; special grandson, caregiver and angel: Eric Lamont; brother: Larry Smith; sister-in-law’s: Debra (Ron) Moore, Sally (Stan) Williams, Martha (Jimmy) Taylor and Fannie Riley; brother-in-laws: David Henderson and Raymond Henderson.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, mother, two sisters: Helen Bullock and Julie Hudson; and grandson: J`son Dupree. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 12 Noon. Family and friends may visit the funeral home Saturday two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Earlham Cemetery.
