Marianne Alexander Bickell, 76, of Indianapolis passed away on April 9, 2022, after a battle with cancer. Born June 7, 1945, in Richmond, Indiana to Von Cleve Alexander and Helen Johnson Alexander, Marianne was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority at Butler University in Indianapolis and graduated in 1967. She spent most of her career working in commercial insurance.
A devoted mother, Marianne was at her happiest spending time in nature with her children and rescue dogs (Ryno, Maggie, and Cori). Her gentle soul and quiet wit will truly be missed by those who love her. She is survived by son Alex (Irene) Bickell, daughter Laurie Bickell, her brother Kurt (Susan) Alexander, and nephews Matthew Alexander and Christian Alexander.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Spartanburg, Indiana. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date in Indianapolis, Indiana.
