Juanita (Sherrow) Dunham, 96, of New Paris, died Sunday, April 10th, 2022, at her home. Born February 3,1926, in Richmond, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Mattie May (West) Sherrow.
Juanita was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family and community. While her children were in school, she volunteered helping at the school, was a homemaker, and later in life she worked as an Avon representative for 28 years retiring in 1998. Juanita was always cooking and baking and helping those in the community. Her love for her family showed with every meal she cooked, every pie/cookie she baked, through her compassion, and every hug and kiss she gave.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Rodney Dunham in 1999, daughter and son-in law, Ruth Ann Horigan in 2010 and John E. Horigan, Jr. in 1991, son: Rodney Lee Dunham in 2019, “adopted” daughters: Dalene Sink, Penny Shafer and Olga Reagan; brothers: Henry, John, Michell, Joe and Dorman Sherrow; sisters: Mary Sherrow, Margaret Sherrow, Thelma S. Cofer and Della McCoy.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Charley E. and Candy Dunham of New Paris, Jeffrey A. and Lori K. Dunham of Eaton, and daughter-in-law, Jane Anne Dunham of Avon, Florida. Grandchildren: Todd (Candy) Horigan, Tammy (Jim) Cail, Joe (Cheryl) Dunham, Johnny (Kim) Dunham, Rod Dunham, Anne Marie Dunham, Holli (Jamie) Yount, Chad Dunham, Lori (Jeremy) Everman, Jeff D. (Lauri) Dunham, Kristin (Jamey) Wyatt, Kelli Foust, 20 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio. Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Rodney Dunn officiating. Interment will be made in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris.
