Joan Marie Rose, 85, of Richmond, passed away March 13, 2022, at AMG Specialty Hospital in Greenfield after a long illness. She was born April 7, 1936, in Richmond to William and Helen Savel Toney and lived in this area most of her life.
Joan retired from McSherr Inc.; she was a great artist and enjoyed spending time with her family
She served as a Carmelite and was an active member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church.
Joan is survived by three daughters Desra Sorrel of Richmond, Teresa (Ray) Sisco of Eaton, Kim (Kenneth Daugherty) Rose of Fountain City, ten grandchildren, several grand and great-grandchildren; one brother John (Martha) Toney, one sister Kay Jackson, several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother Wanda Toney, two sons Joe and Travis Rose; one great-grandson Solomon Vance, daughter in law Christine Sheraton, one brother in law Tom Jackson.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Thursday, March 17, 2022, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church with Rev. Sengole Gnanaraj officiating; burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
