Thomas “David” Rowland, age 60, of Richmond, Indiana, died Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Miami Valley Hospital.
Born December 28, 1961, in Richmond, Indiana, to Thomas I. and Lucille E. Ellison Rowland, David was a life-long resident of this community. He attended Richmond High School. David had owned his own lawn service business for the past 15 years and previously worked at various local factories. He previously attended Full Gospel Chapel. In his leisure time, David enjoyed putting puzzles together, framing them when finished. He loved gardening, summer evening cookouts, and cooking, including sharing meals with his neighbors. David was a cancer survivor, who appreciated life. He was honest and kind and will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his mother, Lucille E. Rowland-Molloy of Richmond; sisters, Deborah L. (David L.) Marsh of West Chester, Ohio, and Teresa D. Roberts of Miamisburg, Ohio; brother, Steven G. (Donna K.) Rowland of Richmond; nieces and nephews, Jonathan Marsh, Steven D. Rowland, Cassie A. Gifford, Jamie L. Brown, and Kyle A. Roberts; great-nephew, Isaiah Whittaker; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas I. Rowland; stepfather, Paul C. Molloy, who impacted his life greatly; brother, Eric K. Rowland, who David cared for during Eric’s battle with cancer; grandparents; aunt; and three uncles.
Visitation for Thomas “David” Rowland will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor John H. Hollis officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
