Madeline Haller, age 92, of New Paris, OH passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. She was born June 26, 1929 in Holy Cross, KY to the late Albertus and Pauline Thompson. Madeline was 1946 graduate of Jefferson High School in New Paris.
She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in New Paris where she was also a member of the Ladies of St. Anne’s Sodality. She worked at AVCO, New Paris Loan & Building, and was the clerk for the Northwest Ambulance District. She was also a member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority in New Paris.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 72 years William Haller; son Greg Haller; and great-granddaughter Pandora; sisters Pauletta Sweet, Dorothy Eales and infant sister Janet Sue Thompson; and sister-in-law Mary Carolyn Harrell. She is survived by her daughter Cathy (Mike) Suggs of New Paris; three sons: Dave (LiHsia) Haller of Fayetteville, NC, and Eddie (Vicki) Haller of Richmond, IN; 6 grandchildren: Toni (Mark) Holzapfel of New Paris, Scott (Mandy) Suggs of Eaton, Doug (Sonja) Haller of Chandler, AZ, Stacy (Shane) Lipps of New Paris, Aaron (Christy) Haller of Richmond and Kirin Haller of Nashville, TN; great grandchildren: Shelby, Abbi, Matthew, Alyssa, Wilson, Sydney, Andrew, Cela, Ava, Nohem, Daisy, Brayden, Olivia, Julia, Atticus and Eloise; brother-in-law George Harrell of Richmond, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 31, 2022 at the St. John’s Catholic Church, 400 North Spring Street, New Paris, OH with Father David Doseck officiating.
