Norma Fay Holmes, 89, of New Castle went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center in New Castle, while surrounded by family. She was born in Robbins, Tennessee on December 10, 1932, to Rev. Roy and Jessie Weaver.
Norma worked many years at New Castle Jr High Cafeteria and many years as a volunteer at Henry County Hospital.
She is survived by her sons, Ralph (Debbie) Holmes, David Holmes, Mike (Kathy) Holmes; daughter, Cindy (Dale) Pitts; brother, Rev. Henry (Patricia) Weaver; many grandchildren & great grandchildren; and special friends Gene Pavey & Peggy Ford.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, Ray Holmes; brothers Jack & John Weaver; sisters, Becky Brumley, Joyce Wilson; and half sister, Juanita Good.
The family would like to thank Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center for their wonderful care.
Face coverings have been requested to be worn by all visitors.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Charles Dugger and Henry Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Grand Avenue Baptist Church.
