Alice M. Gibbons, age 90, of Milton, IN. passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 at her residence, surrounded by her family.
She was born on January 20, 1931 to Howard D. and Gertrude Sarah Watler Butcher and had lived most of her life in Milton, IN.
Survivors include her daughters Jennifer E. (Michael) Williams and Julianne (Rick) Creech; 2 grandsons Bryan (Rachel) Williams and Matthew (Amber) Colley; 5 great-grandchildren Noah, Luke and Grace Williams and Quinn and Dane Colley; a sister Marjorie Gerdts; and in-laws Dick and Carmen Gibbons.
Alice retired as a teller after over 30 years at Central State Bank in Connersville and was a devout Christian. She loved cooking and sewing. Her life centered around her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She and David wintered in North Ft. Myers for many years, making many friends. Alice loved traveling with her husband and sister.
Friends may call from 11:00 am until start of services at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City, IN. Burial will follow in Lick Creek Cemetery near Connersville, IN. Shawn Tipton will be officiating.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband David E. Gibbons in 2000 and 2 nephews Gary Lee Gibbons and Pat McBride.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Milton Christian Church or the Milton Volunteer Fire Department.
