Connersville – Jerry Lee Doll, after 70 years, finally graduated from the School of Hard Knocks on Tuesday afternoon November 30, 2021. Jerry was born in New Castle, Indiana

On June 12, 1951. He grew up in the Western Wayne/Dublin community and graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City. Jerry has lived many years in rural Fayette County where he enjoyed bee keeping and yearly visits from his purple martins. A conservationist at heart, Jerry liked to hunt and fish and spend time outdoors. He was a member of the Purple Martin Society and the National Rifle Association. Jerry worked in the skilled trades as a machine repairman and retired from Ford/Visteon after 20 years of service. Following retirement, he became very active in real estate and rental properties. Jerry was a dedicated grandfather and a hero to his grandchildren who loved to spend time with his family,

Survivors include his father, James Henry Doll Sr. of Winter Haven, FL; his wife of 18 years, Liudmila G. Doll whom he married on July 25, 2003 in Connersville; 4 daughters, Kellie (David) Hudson, Kimberly (Jason)Faber, Kasey (Nick) Thomas and Kitty (Greg) Houghland; 12 grandchildren, Josh, Jerrid, Jacob, Kylie, Brandon, Karlie, Skylar, Bailey, Dylan, Cody, Karsen and Logan; 12 great grandchildren, Adam, Kara, Kinley, Bella, Allie, Raelyn, Claire, Mason, Kreighton, Owen, Kerrigan and Baby Hudson; 4 siblings, Jimmy, Denise and Mark Doll and Karen Cowin.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Reba (Gillentine) Doll on September 5, 2019 and his 4 year old brother, Jacob Harry Doll in 1964.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. on Tuesday December 7, 2021 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial will follow at Zion’s Lutheran Cemetery in Pershing.
