Robert L. Paul, 81, of San Leandro, California passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021. He was born on May 5, 1940 in New Castle, Indiana to Richard H. & Virginia (Langdon) Paul. Robert graduated from Howe Military Academy in1959 and then attended the University of Arizona in Tucson from 1959 – 1962. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and after serving his hitch he went to work at Holiday Inn in Richmond and in Naples, FL before moving to Los Angeles to work at the company headquarters until 1974. In 1974, Robert became a buyer for Stationers Corp. in Los Angeles until 1984, after which he worked in the distribution center of United Stationers of Chicago in Industry, California until 1987. He began working as a buyer of school supplies for Pioneer Stationers in Los Angeles from 1987 – 1990. In 1991 he moved to Oakland, California to work for Eastman Office Supply Wholesaler from 1991 – 1995, which was sold to Staples and ultimately by Office Depot. In 1995, he became a building manager in Hayward, California for Chang-Chow & Chu, a Hong Kong Company from San Francisco until he retired in 2005.
Robert is survived by his brother, Allen E. (Terri) Paul of Richmond and a nephew, Allen H. Paul
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private graveside service was held at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
