Dennis Edward Hunt, 68, passed away unexpectedly on Friday September 10, 2021 at his home in Centerville, Indiana. Born in New Castle, Indiana on April 21, 1953, Dennis grew up in the Cambridge City community and attended Lincoln High School. He had worked several jobs throughout his life which included tree trimming, supervision at Champion Clay Target and as a truck driver for Astral Casket and Knox Trucking. His CB handle was “Bootlegger”. In his leisure, Dennis enjoyed hunting, target shooting, classic cars and trucks and hanging out with his friends.
Survivors include his daughter, Kasey Denise Shively and her mother, Pam Collins of Milton; 2 grandchildren, Austin Sanches and Kollyn Dennis Hunt; 1 great grandson, Gunner Ray Sanches; 2 siblings, Julia Ann (David) Holloway and Victor James (Patricia) Hunt Jr.; several nieces and nephews.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Victor James Hunt on December 21, 2011; mother, Alta Grace (Lockwood) Phillips on November 30, 2020; brother, Joe Alan Hunt on April 11, 2016; step-father, Oliver Milton “Phil” Phillips.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. on Tuesday September 14, 2021at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial will follow at West Side Cemetery in Milton.
