A woman was ejected from her vehicle Friday morning (Nov. 2) after it went off the roadway in northeast Wayne County.
Wayne County Sheriff’s Department responded to the single-vehicle crash shortly after 6 a.m. on Arba Pike north of Morrow Road.
According to a press release from Sheriff Jeff Cappa, evidence at the scene indicated the 2005 black Toyota Camry had been traveling southbound on Arba Pike and failed to negotiate a left-hand curve.
The driver, Kayla Baker, 28, of Richmond, attempted to correct the car, but it went off the east side of the roadway, vaulted over a driveway and landed in a field. The car then rolled one and a half times, and Baker was ejected.
Baker received multiple injuries and was transported to Reid Health for treatment. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Fountain City Fire Department and Red Line EMS.
