James C. “Jim” Pardo, age 86, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Arbor Trace surrounded by his family.
Born September 21, 1934, in Richmond, Indiana, to Anthony Joseph and Mary Whitmore Pardo, Jim lived in Wayne County, Indiana, most of his life. He graduated from Webster High School and earned two associate degrees from Purdue University. Jim served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Belden, where he was a quality control supervisor for more than 35 years. Jim attended LifeSpring Church North. He was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed going to car shows. Jim was also a jack-of-all-trades, who could fix anything.
Survivors include his children, Mindy (Benny) Kenworthy of Noblesville, Indiana, Lori Pardo of Yorktown, Virginia, Neil (Sherry) Pardo of Webster, Indiana, and Traci Linde (Brandon Schroll) of Centerville, Indiana; grandchildren, Emily, Megan, Christopher, Nickolas, Katie, Stephanie, Samantha, and Evan; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Andy (Eileen) Pardo, Don (Jackie) Pardo, and Ruth Ann Wisecup; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Reeves Pardo, who died April 3, 2018; grandchildren, Sean and Eric Pardo; parents; and brothers, Marvin and Billy Pardo.
Visitation for James C. “Jim” Pardo will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Mills Funeral Home with Pastor David Anderson officiating. For everyone’s safety, masks are encouraged. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
